After a short start, Creel returned to the printing industry with the October 20 acquisition of Fenske Media, a digital printing and marketing services provider based in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Allan G. Creel’s roots in the printing industry were instilled by his father and mother, Allan Creel Jr. and Debbie Creel.

Creel spearheaded several acquisitions, resulting in the expansion of CREEL, which resulted in the sale of its 250,000 square feet. sheetfed and web offset production plant in Las Vegas to LSC Communications in July 2017, which he eventually bought out before finally shutting down the Las Vegas offset plant. The agreement with LSC did not include Creel Digital Div. (Digital Lizard), which Creel acquired in 2011, or New Jersey-based GlobalSoft Digital Communications, which it purchased in 2015. These selected assets, in turn, were sold to industrial consolidator Mittera in March 2021.

Creel will now draw on his industry experience at Fenske Media as President and CEO. The entity will retain its brand and its people, including its family Fenske management team. Founded by Paul and Anne Fenske in 1957, Fenske Media has a family heritage similar to that of CREEL. The four sons of the founders, who have been integral to the growth and success of the 50-employee company, remain with the organization. Brian Fenske is now Vice President of Operations, John Fenske is Vice President of Production, and Dave and Tom Fenske are Vice Presidents of Business Development respectively.

Fenske Media’s facility houses two high-speed Kodak Prosper 6000C continuous-feed inkjet printing lines with in-line UV coating and dynamic punching capabilities, which serve as high-performance presses; as well as three Ricoh 7000 series toner-based digital cut-sheet printers, deployed primarily to produce healthcare ID cards; and a 40-inch Heidelberg Speedmaster sheetfed offset perfector with coater, to produce the static parts of its printed output. The postpress equipment consists of modular MBO and Standard / Hunkeler finishing lines which can be configured according to the requirements of each job.

With a strong presence in the financial services, healthcare and auto insurance verticals, SOC 2 Type ll certified Fenske Media also caters to the nonprofit, politics, hospitality and gaming industries.
