Hires DCI Champion Jessalin Lam to lead IAB’s DCI learning and development programs
NEW YORK, December 8, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), the professional association for digital media and marketing, today announced the launch of the first-ever digital media learning program in the United States. IAB Accelerate: learning digital media, in partnership with American Apprenticeships Work (AAW), address the diversity of the industry’s workforce and enable employers to hire skilled talent in advertising technology, digital media and marketing. The program will start in January 2022 with Experian and Media Two Interactive as the first participating companies to offer apprenticeships for data analyst positions.
Like more than half of Americans anticipate the search for a new job over the next 12 months and companies continue to struggle to recruit and retain employees, the IAB is proactively creating industry-wide solutions to help organizations respond to their talent needs. IAB Accelerate is part of a broader Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DCI) initiative, the Institute of Inclusion IAB, which was launched earlier this year with the aim of helping the digital media ecosystem close the gap in opportunity, place diverse talent in career jobs and change the representation of future leaders .
To lead these efforts, the IAB has hired Jessalin lam as Vice President, Membership Development and Diversity, who will report to Sheryl goldstein, EVP Member engagement and development, IAB. Lam will work closely with internal stakeholders, members and vendors to deliver public and corporate IAB programs that address professional development needs and industry DCI challenges.
The Digital Media Learning Program is open to all organizations and will allow businesses of all sizes to have immediate impact. Top brands, agencies and publishers across the country will provide apprentices with an intense one-year on-the-job training program that will develop the skills and competencies needed to complete today’s tasks and of tomorrow.

Prior to joining the IAB, Lam was Director of the Precision Marketing Academy at TBWA Worldwide, where she was responsible for leading a global employee training program for Nissan’s internal and agency teams. Previously, she worked for the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s), where she consulted with partners and agency HR leaders to help them develop their talents from entry level to executive level through various trainings.
She is also co-founder of Asians in advertising, a community focused on creating opportunities for Asians and raising them to higher leadership positions.
